I'm restoring this bike for my wife. I have no clue of the year and yes it's a Huffy, but man, it sure does look cool lol. Plans are mainly to clean it up and keep it generation specific. First things first, figure out the year of this bad boy....well girl...
I know it's not worth much but it will be a fun little project. I have no clue what that red button does...turn on the non working headlight maybe? I thought you guys might enjoy this. We got this bike from Chicago. It had been sitting outside for many many years. If I had to guess I would say this bike is from the late 60's early 70's. I doubt this was a product from the 50's but I could be wrong.

Rockin, looks like you have a fair bit of work ahead of you though.
How far are you taking the restoration?

Well after some research I think I'm going to do a full resto, chrome, and everything, including searching for parts for the headlamp. I'm still not sure of the year. From what I've seen this bike could be as old as mid 40's. I doubt it's post war. Also....the red button is a horn button. This bike had all the bells and whistles haha.

The bike is a 26" for those who care.....this is turning out to be fun so far. I had no idea people actually collected these bikes and that cleans OE ones bring top dollar.
I got the bell assembly apart. I'm going to disassemble it and make whatever repairs to make it ring again. The bell was made here in Marion IN.
Found out this bike is officially a 1956

I don't think that thing is going to go down stairs very well.

It falls just fine
Plus with the springer front end and rear suspension I think it would have a good chance with those 26" wheels lol.

Kidding aside though, looks like a cool project to take on.
And I'll keep pretending it's for Sam when I know you are really building it to take around to the hot bike nightz shows up in Chi Town.
