Harmonie - 3-19

The moment this video starts is the first time I've sat on my bike since October, so cut me some slack.  mexicano

I need to work on some camera angle issues. When I'm seated it's fine, but when I stand up it's pointed at the ground. Hopefully I can get some better video soon.  IM BOUT TO HURRRR

I couldn't watch the whole thing, but that looks like fun. Alex's description of that place didn't really make it sound that great... But now I really wanna go

Well obviously it's not ALL downhill.  I cut out the climbs because I was struggling, and they aren't very fun to watch.  This video was all from the first 1.5 miles of the 4.5 mile Sycamore trail.  There are some sections that aren't that exciting, but the better the shape you're in the faster you can ride them, and that makes them more fun.

The 1.5 mile Walnut connector trail is similar to the sections in this video, but maybe a little more intense and with higher consequences if you crash.  The new trail section is the most difficult so far, but it doesn't seem as high-speed and flowy as Sycamore.

I need to post up some Hero Cam videos my friend took at different skateparks. He's almost pro though. Makes me look like a kid on a GT, lol.

Sycamore is more fun ran backward. I washed out on a fast turn on the leaves Monday. Was the driest it's been this year.
Rode walnut backwards and that was torture (im an out of shape noob). Not near as flowing backward, felt like I was climbing 90% of the time. Did a full on over the bars also, was going to turn a little 2' steep downhill into a drop.  Went great till the landing, as I came down I grabbed a handful of front brake!!!  No idea why, in my head I was even thinking to myself why in the hell is my hand on the front brake. Tire dug into some loose and over I went...even stayed clipped in till I hit the ground. Was damn fun though.

Could a brakeless 20" bike have fun on these trails? Not talking about jumping, just going fast and carving the dirt.

Doubt it, some parts are "smooth" but a very stiff framed bike with 20" wheels would be low on the fun scale.  Most is fairly bumped from the winter of dear and bikes on the soft ground, with root sticking up across the path quite often.   It's free though (till this Saturday when they start working the gate again).

This looks really fun. I need to get into something like this

I've been going to harmonie on my 20" quite a bit lately and I love it. I had to put brakes and a cassette hub back on, but that's not a big deal.

The intermediate is by far my favorite, but I haven't ridden the entire advanced trail yet either.

The transfer from that wooden embankment to the trail was at least a half a Mountain Dew and I mean that in a sincerely complimentary way. golf clap
