Nice.  wooooo

If those are the same stock grips my bike had you'll want to replace them soon.  They like to twist and slide off the bars.

Man I can't wait to ride this thing, first brand new bike I've ever bought for myself.

I got a medium frame again, arguably I should have gone for the large but I rode a large framed bike and didn't like not being able to toss it around so easily.

Deore shifters, front derailleur, slx rear derailleur, rockshox tora fork w/lockout, fox/specialized xfusion rear shock with dampening adjustment including lockout, avid rim brakes and levers (awesome that specialized put disk hubs on it, this will be the first upgrade more than likely) and a nice comfy saddle to top it off.

couple of quick snaps

Looks sweet. I love the color. Do you mind me asking what you paid for it? I still haven't convinced myself to just wing it and buy a new bike because other priorities keep popping up, and it sucks.
The color is actually the aluminum left raw, its pretty cool looking.

It was the base model as far as the fsrxc's go, I paid 1,450.

Through trek right now (even if you want a specialized) they will give you the bike for 0 down, 12 months no financing to pay it of.

Stopped by the bike shop today and picked up some Time ATAC pedals, kept reading and hearing great reviews so I decided to pick some up for myself.

Good luck with these.

Clipless in general, or that specific model? I love my Crank Bros and would probably buy a higher quality pair if I got a new bike. I use the same pair of pedals and MTB shoes on my road bike too because I'm ghetto like that.
Just got done trying out the ATAC's, absolutely love them.  Great hold, I love that they have some left/right play when clipped in but at the same time there is absolutely no way you'll become accidentally unclipped.

I got used to clipless riding shimano pedals and ended up outgrowing them fast, they had an easy in/out but way too many accidental unclips.

I was torn between these and a set of crank brothers platform/clipless type pedals, after reading enough reviews on mtbr about the crank bros bearings blowing out in under a year, and reading nothing but raving reviews for the ATAC's, thats what sold me.

Clipless in general.  It just seems really impractical to me for trail riding.  It might also be because everyone I have rode with that ride clipless fall at least once due to not being able to disengage.http://www.jamaica-star.com/thestar/20080505/news/news1.html

Is your old bike listed in the classified ads of the paper?  My mom was telling me about a Specialized mountain bike in there, and I was wondering if it was yours.
Nope, I'm keeping it for the time being.  There was a specialized on craiglist, it was the high model hardrock maybe its that one.
