New bike

I picked this up a few weeks ago but just now got around to taking pics of it. I decided, after 4 years of my brother talking me into it to, to start racing.

It's a 2007 Intense Pro XL 21" bike. Aluminum frame, 3pc tubular cranks, sealed double wall wheels, chromoly fork and bars, and I think it's right around 25 lbs. It's longer and heavier than my S&M street bike, but on the track it's amazingly smooth. The only things I've done to it are cut the seat post down and add Intense Micro-knobby tires.

Not everyone's cup of tea but I thought I'd share anyway.

Those Intense micro-knob tires are weird! Frank showed me the ones on his FSR .. looks like they would be great for street and hardpack.
So you are going to be racing competitively? Put the races up in the events section so we can go and cheer you on (or throw things at you as you fly by).   toot

Yep, I've got my NBL license and I'm waiting on my "official" number plate. Races don't start back up until April, but that gives me time to put parts on it that I like after my car gets fixed.

My buddy used to race a lot before he joined the Navy.  He had tons and tons and tons of trophies, and his mom is in charge of the track at Burdette. It's a cool sport.

Wicked!
Well just post'em up when they start up. Do you always race at Burdette? That's only about 5 minutes from my house, so I could go check out the races. I've always like BMX races, ever since I was a little kid.

Yep, Burdette every Saturday night from April to October.

WashinMyGoat, you must be talking about Angie Allman. She's a fun lady, and her husband Larry will crack you up. Have you been to any of their bonfires? Almost the most fun you'll have on the west side.

I was just at their house late Saturday night.  Do you hang with them a lot?  I usually go there when Andy is in town or when I know they will have cheese dip.
Someone else got a new bike today. I can't say for sure who it was.

I was there for a little bit, but thenI had to go work on my step dad's car. My brother was there all night though.

Shitty camera quality, but I got my NBL license in the mail yesterday. I'm now officially a 17+ Rookie.

I've been going to the tracks a lot lately. Doing mostly free rides. We have an indoor one about 15 minutes from me. Here's a pic of me(mountain bike) down at the Indy indoor track.

I'll probably be going to the Indy track a few times before the season starts up again. Most of the racers around here go up and do "local" races to keep in shape over the winter.

Helltrack LOL. I don't know the name. I think it's on the south easy side. Fun track, it's a big "S" with 3 burns a few tables a couple steps and a rythme.
