We just got back from Dan's .. Marc wanted some toe straps but they didn't have the kind he wanted. I picked up a couple of Maxxis 2.4" freeride tires and a lockring wrench. Hopefully the tires will help out, we figured today that the Karmas I have are more XC oriented, and that's not really the riding we're doing. I think instead of rolling smoothly over the ruts and roots, the knobs are bouncing me off of them. At least that's my theory.

Oh yeah, I'm putting the platforms on today. So long Eggbeaters.

Maxxis Holy Roller 2.4 Freeride tires are the most amazing tires on the planet. I just took my bike out for a spin on the street out front. These tires are AMAZING. I feel like it's impossible to fall.

Also slapped on the platforms and 18t cog in the back. I'm going to be a machine tomorrow.


My love for Crank Brothers runs deep. I put platforms on because the shit at AM is too technical to be riding clipless (at least for me). If the platforms help me out and I like riding them, I will invest in some 5050s or Mallets. So no worries, I'm a Crank Brothers man through and through.
