Now is that horrible time where the ground freezes, thaws, re-freezes, gets rained on, and never dries. Indeed it sucks. So, ramble on about your future biking plans/concerns. 

I haven't taken a ride since Thanksgiving. I graduate next Saturday, so I probably won't be able to ride until after the 19th. Even then, the ground will probably be wet, so I'll have to bust out the road bike again. I hate riding in traffic because no matter how careful you are, some idiot doesn't see/care and almost runs you over.

My mountain bike needs to be tuned up like crazy, but it will probably cost about as much as it's MSRP to fix(oh yeah, it was that cheap when purchased new). Now that I mention it, my road bike needs tuned up, too. I'm not sure if either one is worth fixing up, as I plan to get a new mountain bike as soon as I find a full time job, and I've been riding my road bike as it is for years.  Maybe I'll fix it and give it to my brother.

In other news, I hear they are putting in some awesome trails in New Harmony. The guy who designed some trails in Brown County is doing it. That should be cool when it gets done.

Yeah, some of the guys here at Dans have been helping build them on weekends. It sounds like they'll be fun, I might even take the 20" out to romp on them.

I'm transitioning into snowboarding mode.  Unfortunately it's a lot farther away and a lot more expensive. 

I'm going to buy a trainer and then just loop a scene driving on an interstate on a projector and ride across the country from my basement

I was wondering what happened to those trails. Last I heard, they were on hold due to some indigenous trees being in the way.


I'm anxious to get out riding again, but am seriously wondering when I'll have time next spring. Our baby is due the end of March, and I'm sure my wife isn't keen on the idea of me taking a day to go riding while she stays at home with a newborn and a nearly 4 year old.   

As much as I hate to admit it I think the riding season is nearly if not over.  If I really get the itch I'll ride my mountain bike on the road, but pedal bob makes that a pain in the ass.

Yeah, it's coming to a close for me too. I won't ride in weather this cold, dry ground or not. If we have any nice days I'll ride the STP. I'll probably take the bike rack off my car this weekend.

Are there any indoor tracks near eville? I never looked while down there. I missed out this weekend. All my friends went to rays without me stupid no money and buying gifts for people ive only met once errrrrrrrr

If it wasn't for the pool thing I'd agree. It's perfect for riding, driving my car, and working on my car. But I apparently set up my pool so I could blow money on chemicals for it.

How is constant rain good for anything apart from rain forests and grunge rock?

What sucks worse than the weather is the flu. I was sick on Tuesday and Wednesday.  I felt fine for the rest of the week, but apparently it zapped all athletic ability from me. Animal came over to take a road ride with G-Man and I, and I had to turn around 1/4 through the ride. My legs are like rubber. I gotta start over or something, I guess.

Animal was on his Trek Liquid and keeping up with G-Man on his road bike going about 30mph down a hill, and then doing a wheelie up the next hill.  It was crazy.
