would anyone be interested in a race

i'm thinking of trying to organize a bike race, probably from somewhere in newburgh to the theater on the west side but i don't know if anyone but me would show up. if there were a 3-4 dollar entry fee and the winner won it all would this be of any interest to anyone here?
I'm in, is it okay if I don't have a bike?
yes you can run it if you want
can I pretend I'm in a bike and drive my car?

If there was a way to get from one side of town to the other on dirt, and if I didn't have to pay or race, I might do it.

Fixed for me.  I'm not really into city riding.  I have enough problems with motorists when riding out in the country.

I love riding in the city (Chicago) the traffic makes if more fun when you bust out a manual in the middle lane going down hill keeping with traffic. Evansville traffic though. Yeah I know when I saw bikers I always thought they were DUI'ers unless they had at least a somewhat quality bike.

I is has for is teh Internets stupid speak
I wouldn't ride on the road in this city if you paid me. Drivers are fucking nuts.

I ride on the road too, but a route from Newburgh to the West Side of Evansville would go through some of the heaviest traffic in the city.  That's where things can become a problem.  We should try to set up a Criterium.

I agree. I cross the Lloyd quite frequently and it's scary at times. There should be a class for single speeds as well as multi speeds.

We should have a race on fixed-gear girl's bikes with training wheels from one end of the greenway to the other in a no-holds-barred, cross the gaps however you want, weapons allowed deathmatch format.

Like the old sega game "Road Rash" anyone remember, cop rides up next to you and WHAM hit them with a chain.
