You guys ride BMX?

I've seen a lot of posts about trails, but I don't have the bike for that. This summer, once I'm back in eville, I want to pick up BMX. I was never very good, but I really never tried that hard. I know I can be decent if I give it time. Where is there to ride in town? Any of you doodz want to show me the ropes?

I've got a Schwinn.

This is basically it. I know it's a 1999 SuperMatic. Everything is stock except the pegs and the seat. What kind of stuff will I be able to do with a bike like this?

it depends on what you wanna ride. for street stuff there is plenty to ride around town

My dick is like an airplane, it gives girls orgasms.
Well I know Swonder has a lot of ramps and such, is there a place like that but for bikes?

not really. theres lamasco, but that place sucks

I guess I'll just go to the trails with my friends and see what's up. I have a feeling I'm not going to get far with my bike. I want to ramp, yo.

Lamasco is going to rock if you really want to ride ramps and have never been to a "good" skatepark. It gets kinda slick, but it's still fun for a while.

As for your bike, it rolls and has handlebars. You could get started on a Mongoose if you wanted to, it's up to you to getb the balls to try things and listen to other people's criticism. Take it all as advice, even if it seems negative to you. If you really want to start riding let me know. I've been riding for 9 years now, and I always encourage people to start if they really want to. It's tons of fun, and you'll get to have a lot of fun with really interesting people in really fun places, no matter how good you are or aren't.

if we could get a forum trip to lamasco or somewhere where i can try some stuff, i would go.

i don't even have my bike at school. when i get back i'm gonna start working on bunnyhops, 180s, and possibly barspins.

Lulz, most of the riders in town are at Lamasco on a daily basis when it's warm enough.

BTW, barspins aren't as easy as they look. wink I've landed a few, but I've been trying them for 6 years. Be sure to get some good knee/shin combo guards to wear under your pants.

how much is the entry fee for lamasco?

i expect barspins, and any trick for that matter, to be hard. i tried to get it down when i was younger, like really young, but i just didn't have the strength to get the bars around fast enough. I'm excited to get back into it again though.

Lamasco is a free public park. Post up on here whenever you want to go and I'm sure myself, Eurotrash, my brother, and a few others will be there. It's a lot of fun as long as you remember that it's just about having fun.

very cool. i'll definitely head out there when i'm back. bird

my fat ass has been seriously considering getting a bike this summer. i need something to do outside besides fuck with my car. it's either gonna be that or start skating again.

My name is Stephen, I eat emcees for no apparent reason

i tried to pick up skateboarding this past summer, but couldn't really get into it. i just like going fast and being stable. longboarding is tight as hell, but i definitely don't have the money for a decent longboard setup.
